I have to share this with you all - yesterday I had a lumpectomy, the first needle they gave me before my x ray was not the little scratch that they said I'd feel, it was more like a wasp sting, it was so painful that I screamed out the F word :p

When they took me in to theatre before my op I had to have another needle which I moaned about, they told me to talk about something nice. When the needle went in I screamed out MARTINLEWIS.COM, & continued to go on & on about my comps until I conked out. When I come round after the op I saw 2 young girls worriedly peering down at me, I asked them if they'd found the answers to the 2 comps that we needed to enter & they hadn't  It took them quite a while for them to convince me that we were in hospital & we weren't doing comps.

I'd just like to say thanks MSE & everyone on here who posts :D

Hi cathy...Belive it or not he has just started to settle a little bit the last hour...He had an awful night...He woke every 15-20 mins..I felt like I had a newborn again keep waking up..Had to get up at 6 as well cause hubby went to work and we cant leave him on his own..Mate has took girls to school and collecting them as well so dont have to leave the house at all this week....My eyes are stinging but I can take that if he's ok...He had toast and best butter fro brekkie as he has gone right off his food since the op last wednesday...Got home from vets last night and opened one of johns best Beef Casseroles for Neo...John just stood there looking at me ....

His paw was very bad at vets..All bandages were green and yellow and smell was horrendous...I though he may have to have leg removed and was quite upset...Just need to keep bathing it and give him anti biotics...Fingers crossed for fridays appointment..
I know just how you feel, keep postitive he will be ok,
my candy had lumps and she had an infection when she licked her leg red raw, I was told that she did not have alot of hope and gave me 2 months well after constant antibitotics, a collar and tlc it cleared up and she was around for another 16months, but I refused to give up and let her go, cost me a fortune but they are worth it.

  • Claire, congrats on your lovely win! You will smell LUSH!

Easter, am glad Neo is settling down now, he will need his rest to get better.

Splodz, thanks for the Fairy link. I got a message that they wanted to check my email address, but no message has come through. Were you just accepted straight away or did they check your email?

Woks, such a caring wife and mother!!!!!!! How did your DD get on with the mascara at school this week? Mine is only 13 and she looks more like a panda everyday, I am tired of telling her to tone the eyeliner down and would be so glad if the school would be the baddies instead. Mind you, you can hardly see her eyes under her fringe!

    RCB, enjoy!

Ktflosspot, the octopus made me laugh. Thanks for the fb message, made me cry x
