The Compers Inn - Part 12

  • RANT!

I appear to have started a witch hunt on another comping forum, popular with ducks...

The bone of contention was competitions from mags aimed at teenage girls. I openly admitted I enter them, because legally I can and there's plenty of prizes I would like, or inevitably pass on to other people. I also pointed out that most competitions are aimed at the readers of specific websites/mags, so really all compers are guilty of this 'hideous deception'! I meant it nicely of course...

So, then some woman has the audacity to tell me I am clearly not a mother and should never have children because I am such a selfish human being!

    How dare she? Some people...

But, if I clearly have no children, that means that someone else will be getting up to tend to shouty screamy teething DD in a couple of hours... bliss.
Best wins: Luxury weekend in Russia, family holiday to France, catered BBQ for 20, Selfridges shopping spree, jolly to Majorca, £1,000 See Tickets vouchers, £500 John Lewis vouchers, five-star weekend in Provence!

Hi. Funnily enough I was just reading that on the 'other' site. Honestly I'd ignore it. There always seems to be someone on there complaining about something. The whining on there is seriously starting to do my head in... Don't worry in a day or two it'll be a drama about something else (more than likely someone having the audacity to swap a prize on the swaps forum - god forbid!!!) :D
2022 wins include.... £1,000 cheque £150 ASDA gift card £250 Impericon gift voucher £100 cheque £100 of plant bulbs £100 Bower Collective voucher
  • Some people are just taking it way too seriously... as if the single postcard I am going to send tomorrow is personally going round to their house to punch their child in the face and steal their toys...

you will find that here too i'm afraid no one is unique

there seems to be ethics surrounding kids comps and the general moral concensus is to leave it to the kids/ teens .

None of those people on there arguing were girls/teens I'd wager... I just think that they should be careful about throwing stones from their glass houses.

I have won one decent prize from Mizz - a beauty hamper - and after scavenging a pack of face wipes (because I had run out) passed it on to a very grateful teenage girl. Any stuff I win which I don't need always seems to find a good home!
