good news

Hi guys,

just thought i would pop in and say i got my crb back after 5 months and therefor i have got the job!

what do i need to do now reguarding benifits? i just been told i start monday and will need to fill out a p46?

i am over the moon at starting my dream job, and getting off benifits, but it leaves me a little time until monday to sort it all out!

what do i need to do? thankyou xx

    |Good for you, not sure what benefits your claiming but if its JSA just fill the back of your ES40 book and hand it in, make sure you give it to someone official so you know it'll be dealt with properly.

    PS It should only take a few days for your P45 to come through, think it comes with your final payment, so don't complete the P46 unless you can help it because this will mean you are put on an emergency tax code.

    Not necessarily: my payroll people advise me to send a P46 if new staff haven't got a P45 yet, and then send the P45 when it arrives. The questions on the P46 should make things 'work' OK for someone who's been claiming benefits, AFAIK.
