Frozen green beans?

    we always have tescos frozen green beans these are lovely i normally whizz them in microwave

    I still have lots of home-grown green beans in the freezer. One favourite way of using them is in a vegetable curry (e.g. potato and green bean curry - must make that again soon!). Another thing that works well is just quickly steam or zap in microwave, then cool and use in a salad like a nicoise or indonesian gado-gado.
    They are good in paella too. Actually they rarely come out to be used 'solo', but great in combinations with other veggies, or in soup.

    I microwave mine briefly, run them under the cold tap (I think it's called refreshing) as this really plumps them up. When I'm ready I stir fry them in olive oil or butter with garlic and sometimes a chopped up rasher of bacon.
