i have a bottle of stardrops and i am wanting to give my new leather sofa a wipe over but it doesn't say anything on the bottle about it being safe on leather. i can't imagine it would damage it, but i don't wanna ruin my new sofa and then hubby to say told you so :rotfl: .
if it can be used is there anythign any can recommend i use to just to help keep sofa clean. i have been using just a microfirbe cloth slightly damp.

When I bought a new leather sofa, i got a small box which had cleaning wipes and some sort of leather protector. Did you not get anything like this? I'd just use a damp cloth if I was you, i wouldn't want to risk it!!0

If you think of leather as skin and clean it as you would your skin, Hand soap and body lotion - thinly apllied and rubbed in well worksBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I've heard you shouldn't use microfibe cloths on Leather as they can suck out to much moisture and this can leave the leather dry and crackedSometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0

I used to work in a place that cleaned and refurbished suites. The bloke who did this told me that baby wipes are the best thing for keeping your leather suite nice and clean
P.S. Do not use the cheapo ones,it has to be the ones that are kind on baby bums etc.or even just good old warm soapy water but this has to be cleaned and wiped down with clean water and a clean towel pretty quick and takes a couple of days to dry.
Also DO NOT clean them too must because the leather WILL start to crack and peel.If you dont ask you dont get!!0 -
Ive heard people say dove soap is good on leather suites.0

if you are thinking of using stardrops on a leather item it may well be worth doing a test batch on an area that is out of view before you clean any visable parts. also use a very weak solution - better safe than sorry.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0
