pad walls

I am looking for ways to pad my daughters bedroom walls she has sensory intergration needs and rocks quite violently at times hadn I want to pad her bedroom walls so she doesn't hurt herself. her bedroom is small but I dont want to spend to much as we are saving for a loft conversion so she can have a bigger room. Any ideas would be great

First I'm sorry to hear the sad news big hug to you.
This is not an easy one but the first thing that came to mind was profile foam or normal flat foam/chip foam. You might be able to find a company local to you who would be able to help.
You should be able to paste it onto the wall and then remove it and sand the adhesive down before decorating. All that is needed is spot gluing which means you don't have to paste the whole area but perhaps the edges depending on how firm the foam is.
Some companies sell foam in large sheets and the foam varies in thickness.
It should also be reusable so it can also be placed in the new room when done.
The foam may have to be thick enough and firm enough to prevent injury from the hard wall surface.

Thankyou for your knid words and a big thankyou for your help : )
I'm going to order some foam and cover it in some bright coloured fabric hopefully that should do the job.

  • Depending how padded you want it you could use duvets in nice covers and attach these to the walls by using a eylet punch in the corners and screws they could then be shoved in the washer. The second option as you say is padded foam covered. if you get some strong double sidded velcro this will hold them in place
