I have not received any replies from my letters sent last week about being unable to pay in light of age ( 70) and only income being State Pension.
I get a few phone calls each day, most of them I ignore and ones I have spoken to I have said "please write to me" as am not prepared to speak on the phone.
This morning in the post I have a card from Aegis saying they will call on me on Saturday between 8AM and 9PM.
Is this something they normally do ?
I don't particularly want to see them on Saturday so what should I do ?

I'm no expert on this at all, far from it, but in my experience, they send these cards to panic you into calling them, as you are wanting to stop the visit, then during the phone call they will obviously try the high pressure tactics to get you to agree to payments you cant afford.
You can either ignore the call at your door if it happens, or you could answer and just say you are in talks with debt charities in order to help your situation and arent prepared to conduct conversations on the door step, but thats just my opinion.
Try not to worry, I know its tough, but they cant take what you dont have.0 -
I was thinking about ringing them before I posted on here but I have nothing to tell them other than I have already written to them.
I don't have to see them do I ? Not at this stage anyway !
Hopefully by next week my car will be fixed and I can go to CAB and see what I can do about these debts.
Yes I can go on the train but my walking isn't too good.0 -
Hi,
The CAB will be able to help and they will write to them again for you for some reason they seem to pay more attention to CAB than if you write plus they will give you loads of great advice and help. Ask if they can help you with your water bill as they can normally get you help with that if you are not already.
Like said above i doubt anyone will visit its just them trying to get you to call so they can pressure you. Just ignore it.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:

Happily I don't have a water bill !
Just credit cards and one loan - which is enough !0
