I was just putting away my husbands payslip when I noticed that although his salary,tax code and NI and pension contributions are the same for some reason in Oct.Nov.and Dec. they took exactly £60 more tax for those three months.
His tax code has actually been reduced FOR 08/09,(we received a letter yesterday) and he has'nt got a clue what the extra tax is about.
Is this something perhaps we had'nt heard about,is it happening to everyone.Each amount for the three months is exactly £60.

You probably just noticed the difference from September when anyone on an 'L'code received a £60 refund. Compare current payslips with August - there should be £10 difference.0

No it's not that there is £60 extra taken in tax for those three months only.This month it's back to normal,the same as it was in September.0

Can you check tax code for each month from August and also if there is a week1/ month1 code applied? ('x' after the code)0
