512MB MP3 Player - £19.99

WHSmith's has a clearance MP3/WMA player for £19.99. It has been reduced from £49.99. I don't have any details regarding make but it was an unknown one. It's very similar in looks to the Sony NW-E series.

Apparently it's an Inovix MP3 player but I don't know the model number.

Does not appear to on WHSmith online but probably in larger stores.

Thanks to the OP and happy hunting.

It's an inovix IMP-611 (almost no info in existence). I just went & bought one....girl on till says it was £39.99 (now £19.99). There is a manafacturer's user forum ( http://www.inovixeu.com/UK/ ) but just about all who have bought this model from WH Smith are having problems (though I suspect it's because the device needs formatting with FAT16 as opposed to FAT32.

    there's a piccie here....

(looks like someone is being entreprenurial as that's exactly the packaging I have on nimne!)

Anyway, it's a good buy if it works...I'll let you know, but at least with someone like WH Smith there's a degree of buyer protection built in!

After reading about the horrors others have experienced on the manafactureres forum I decided to take mine back....no quibble whatsoever. I asked the sales assistant if he'd seen many returned "about half of them don't work so yes, we've seen a lot back" he said!

    Avoid.
