i am complaing to both.
I have a barclays bank account and a barclays stock holder account
how dare they charge me to hold onto worthless shares when they have allready had their commisison on the purchase and selling of them.
I only had 5 shares left as I bought 1,000 shares when they were well down
and sold most of them when they went back up.
to charge someone a fee for holiding onto nothing with no contract in my mind is illegal0 -
Just seen a bill from these chimps too, what's an even bigger slap in the face is that I actually brought no shares or used their service because I never received by user ID to log into the thing.... I also did not set up or authorise a monthly payment here, looks like a complaint needs to be sent into Barclays here, as far as I'm concerned I didn't authorise the payment or even get the service. Barclays stockbrokers though, best just avoided, ironically a friend of mine used an alternative service at no cost at all, legitimate places make enough money from trading without needing to charge for 3kb of storage.0

It quite clearly states in the T&C that if you do not purchase any further shares within a three month period they will charge a fee, it will be charged every 3 months if you still hold the same shares and make no more purchases/sells.0 -
I checked my balance and have this charge on my account too, never used the service as i never received the paperwork so went elsewhere, can i get my money back?0

THERE ARE ONE WAY WE COULD DO. WE SHOULD MAKE COMPLAINT TO COMSUMER DIRECT. BY LAW THEY SHOULD GIVE NOTICE LETTER BEFORE THEY CHARGE THE MONEY.
HERE IS WEB I HAVE BEEN FOUND.
The Trading Standards Institute is a not-for-profit professional membership organisation formed in 1881. THEY represent trading standards professionals in the UK and overseas.
The trading standards professionalsrepresent protect and advise on consumer rights, dealing with a huge range of issues from rogue tradesmen to under age knife sales.
SOME REASON I COULD NOT SENT WEB LINK, YOU CAN USE GOOGLE SEARCH 'THE TRADING STANDARDS INSTITUTE' TO MAKE AN COMPLAINT.0 -
Has anyone had any success
I have also just discovered that they have been taking money out of my account since Jan 08!!!!!!!!
An amout of £14.10 and then later £13.80. This means that they have had £97.80 from me for doing sween f all!!!!!!!!
I am totally furoius and feel duped. I have now cancelled the account and the direct debit. I do not recollect setting up a DD and if I had known I would NOT have gone ahead with this company.
I have lodged a complain with Consumer Direct0 -

Thanks,
This is their way of getting people to trade more and make them more money through commission.

People really should investigate rates and charges associated with accounts before agreeing to them...0
