At one of these in December, it was a Casino Royale nite. We got all the stuff from ebay including the roulette wheel. We insisted that everyone stayed in character throughout. We had a worse Sean Connery impression contest, all the contestants were asked general knowledge questions on James Bond and they answered as James Bond. Must admit we did rig some of the answers. We had vodka martini cocktails, shaken not stirred. Throughout the nite we showed some Bond footage on TV. We topped it off with a Karaoke (bought this off ebay for £25, and about 10,000 tunes for £50) with only bond theme tunes. You will have a ball...... One of the ladies made a cake in the shape of James Bond Island (Thailand, the one where the rocket was in).

  • Hey loopyloulou,

This is an excellent opportunity for me the party planner wannabee to help out.

For decor heres some ideas i came up with

Red backdrops, see if you can source some cheap red material to hang up in places. or even as a red carpet. black & silver balloons maybe even gold as well. Find fairly large bond pictures on the net (A4 size?) print them out in black and white then stick them to a larger sheet of black card/paper. (it makes a good frame) then place them around the room.

To continue a casino feel make some fake money, print it on green paper. and buy a small roulette wheel out of au naturale or sumwhere similar. not sure about chips for it tho. (maybe off board games you have) just use a rectangular table and cover it with a green table cloth. and do the same for card tables just use a round table.

And as for a little something extra you can give chocolate cigars, as party favours. Oh yeah make sure you have lots of martini glasses too. just to make it extra special. Have you made invites?

If you need any more help just get in touch.

I think that if you can afford it then a casino company is worth the cost - they look the biz. Mine is £450 for 2 tables - but thats a wedding.
You could go one better and get a chocolate fountain.

Also how about fancy dress - that will get everyone in the mood.

What about a movies / Bond 007 pub quiz??? You could do that yourself. Ask the DJ to read out the questions.
