hi, does anyone on this board know anything about networking. no point in explaining to me what 2 do cause its already been done and i cant for the love of god find out what im doing wrong. i live in glengormley just pass the zoo. anyone reliable and how much would you charge????

i am soooooo desperate ive been trying 2 do this from xmas...

yes, do i need to connect the belkin router INSTEAD of the ntl router i have on my pc in order to network my laptop???

Switch everything off at the power.

connect the ethernet cable from the cable modem to the router, using the WAN port on the router

connect the ethernet cable from the pc to the router using one of the lan ports.

switch on the modem only. wait for at least two minutes until ready and sync lights are stable.

switch on router, wait for two minutes

switch on pc, wait for two minutes after it has fully booted up.

Follow instructions in quick set up guide ref setting up SSID

If above successful then set up laptop.

Belkin are one of the easiest routers to set up.
