We have the Kenwood one, looks lie its made of stainless steel but is actually plastic, cant recall model number. Its been great and have had it almost a year now.

We did have a problem at first with it, but delonghi who make kenwoods replaced if free of charge. We dont use it at this time of year, but did use it a lot in Spring, Summer and Autumn.
  • U defo get what u pay for when it comes to smoothie makers. The ones she uses on her programmes are more often than not, `juicers` which are completely different (i found out the hard way, i bought a smoothie maker, and attemped to put veggies in it, it doesnt work!)
You can get some reasonably priced smoothie makers and juicer combos, try Argos for cheapest price, or boots, they have a good range too.

Beleive it or not the `Jordan work out DVD` has a good bit at the end about juicers and recipes etc. and the DVD isnt that bad either!!!! cringe.

    Hi,

I have a Kenwood Smoothie Maker, the model number is SB256. Its been brilliant since I got it. Got it half price from tesco.com a while since - got it for only £19.99! Not seen it that cheap anywhere since!

Its well worth investing in one - I dont just use it for smoothies, we sometimes just fill it with water and use it as a water jug - pours alot better than the jug we bought that has a filter in it that fits in the fridge!

We just started on the Gillian McKeith plan and bought the cheapest juicer we could find. No point spending a fortune on something that might be pushed to the back of the cupboard in a months time! Anyway - we got a juicer from Tesco's for £7.95 and it works brilliantly, not the most attractive for your kitchen surface but makes great juices. Its a bit fiddly to clean but apart from that a great bargain :D
