Totally, thanks for the advice on cooking etc i'm going to try a lot of new things now great idea about the ice cube tray & stock i'd never thought of that! And yes my grandad is my life.........lol i'd be in a lot worse situation if it wasn't for him and the thing is if i went to him now with all my debts he'd pay them for me in an instant but i really want to sort this mess out myself
if only i'd taken after his great ways with money!
Thankyou jesthar, i'm going to look into the daily clicks thing, i've been using moneyback madness......and do surveys etc with onepoll, opinium, opinionbar, yougov and another i can't think of right now. I'll also be sure to check the old style board for some more cooking tips.Winging life....0 -
Sounds like you have made a great start! WELL DONE for quitting smoking!! If you are struggling with that then speak to the NHS Stop Smoking Service or your GP and get all the counselling and medication they will give you.
Definitely sell the car while it is taxed, MOTd and worth something. Also cut down on your electricity and gas usage - this could be half by dressing for the season etc. Also I note that your energy is more than 10% of your income so you may be entitled to go onto a cheaper social tariff. Lastly you don't need two phones for one adult so get rid of one completely.
But you clearly cannot meet those loan repayments on your income and live in even the most basic way. You will have to cut out everything non-essential for the time being and somehow find a way to get some more income. Could you do paper rounds or Avon, taking your DD with you as you work?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

If he will pay it back, why not let him? Set up a direct debit to pay him back??? If you will pay him back, it will be cheaper and easier for everyone involved.Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0 -
I have thought of selling the car but i don't think i would get more than £100 for it and i paid £500 for it 6 months ago. However it would save me 6 months of insurance payments, when i called the insurance about cancelling i was told i would have to pay 2 months of insurance with written notice of cancelling the policy so that would mean sending a cheque with the letter for just under £120 i'm just not sure what to do, i regret getting it in the first place.
Thanks very much about the smoking, i'm finding it really hard and i'm like a psycho at the moment lol!
A friend of mine owns a chip shop and offered me two nights a week doing deliveries but i think i would have to declare that then i'd lose my benefits and student courses being paid i'm not sure?
i had tried avon in the past but somebody in my area already does it. I've also put my name down for doing the phonebook and leaflet deliveries but that was when i was certain of keeping the car. I'm currently going to raid my attic for anything for ebay tonight!Winging life....0 -
marke, i know it makes sense but he has done this in the past
he's also helped clear my credit card before and got me out of so many messes i just feel like i need to do it myself this time to learn a lesson. I know that sounds stupid but i feel so bad for him, infact all of my family i have the best family in the world but all i keep doing is letting them down. Also he knows i'm in silly debt again and has offered to clear my capital one so that i can concentrate on the others, i might take him up on that offer then thats one of them out of the way. Hi Katie, be careful of food deliveries. They often require you to use your own vehicle and you should then advise the insurance that you are using the car for business as you will probably be classed as self employed.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0

Lovey, if I were you with your income and your outgoings, I would go and see a free debt counsellor (I don't know which ones there are in Northern Ireland). You need £227 a month just to meet the minimum repayments, and I don't think you have got enough room in your budget to make those sorts of cuts.
However, I have no idea about benefits but I'm sure the barmaid at our local told us she can work 15 hours per week and not lose benefits?
DUH - just read that you have done Avon previously! That'll teach me to read the whole post

Hi
Check out http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/protect/make-money
Sign up for your local branch of www.freecycle.org - like ebay but you get stuff free.
Can you get a school term job like dinner lady or crossings? Even if it does not bring in much?
and will be back with the credit union link, as they might allow you to take out a loan to get rid off the provident loan. THe APR is horrid but a lot better than the Provident.
This will explain them and you can find the nearest one to you.

A number of them offer freedom loans which are designed to get you out of the payday/provident situation. The APR is usually nearer 25% in these situations than the 11% they charge for regular savers. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Yes i'm going to check with the benefits people tomorrow to see how much i am allowed to earn before it affects me, i'm not sure about any charities i think i'll go and see the CAB on Monday and i'm just going to live on bare minimum for a while.Winging life....0
