self-employed tax rebates

After filing my tax return on-line ,and at the end it states that there was nothing to pay as i was in profit of £345 from an income of £5045 total income should i be getting a tax rebate from this

    Yes, did you request a repayment?
    £705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:
  • i think i did i put all my bank details etc and ticked the box to have any rebate paid into this
  • as i said i put the details down,but upon speaking to the tax office they said that as i have not paid any tax on account that i would not get a refund .
    so how do people get a refund every year and not pay tax aswell
