    This is amazing!!!!

Part of me feels great that there is an area of the country where people are at last realising that NHS dental treatment is probably better off NOT having. The area's PCT is now so desperate to get it's access figures up, that it's resorting to giving dentists cash to get out on the streets and look for people! Press ganging NHS dental patients!

But then - what if you're a person who does the proper thing and goes for check up's regularly?

It's the dental budget that COULD be used for your care being wasted on dumba$$ stupid 'initiatives' to get figures up so that the PCT doesn't get into trouble from the Department of Healh for not having enough ticks in certain boxes.

    You couldn't make it up!!!
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
