Am I right in thinking that it was proposed by government that the local paper from March this year will not be printing names of people who go bankrput?

Nothing passed as yet (although rumor was only certain cases would be exempt from publication).....still searchable online via london gazette forever

Out of interest. So names are searchable on the London Gazette and I believe the Insolvency Register, via the web?

As regards the searches, are they only within the web sites themselves or can they can they appear as a result of say a google search?

They do occasionally appear on google, it seems to be pot luck really, if you have an unusual name you can come out on the first page of google.

Just had a look in the classifieds of my local paper. Never looked before; there was a list of insolvencies, the last was number 18. I'm number 42 (last friday) so as and when I'll appear ???
