(moet) Chandon sparkling wine!!! (merged)

I ordered the following:

Domaine Chandon Eclipse Sparkling Wine Special Offer

CASE OF 12 x 75cl BOTTLES (equivalent to £4.74 per bottle)

Coming from Moet & Chandon's own vineyards in California, the quality of this sparkling wine is on a par with it's famous french equivalent but at a fraction of the price. Ideal for parties, it has a fruit-driven, approachable style.

Go through quidco, for 2% DISCOUNT!!

Mainly the grabbit is for deliveries on or before the 31st you can get a 1000 points!! see post 299 for the discount ( on tesco discounts)

Sorry its so late but I have had to check the offer is still on and trawl through tesco codes for the code link/post!!

Be quick, I tried and the earliest day of delivery is 31st january, ie the last day!!!

I cannot buy anymore as I have used this link BOOHOO, this is good stuff!!!

I dont drink champagne often, but (from memory I think it tastes like the real thing, not cava etc, read the tesco write up, they say the same, but not the same price!!!!)

Sorry about spellings, but I want to try to do different addresses with my card!!!!

£57, with the equivalent of £40 off my holiday!!! ie £17 for 12 bottles of champagne!!(but you cant call sparkling wine champagne unless the grape was grown in champagne, even if it is moet and chandon!!!!)

b quick!!!!!!!!!!!!
ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷

It's great stuff. After 20 odd bottles it's on the sweeter side of dry, but there's definately a smoky, silky undertone that you only get with champagne. We bought 24 bottles a while before Christmas with a £10 discount code and it worked out at about the same price. It's on offer in store too, but no extra points obviously. The intention was to give half of them away as gifts.

    Didn't quite happen like that :o .

Strewth, Tesco know how to charge....

    Cordoniu Brut Reserva Cava £8.54/bottle...

    £3.99 in Somerfield currently.....Hic!
    British Ex-pat in British Columbia!
  • Great value here Tesco Domaine Chandon Eclipse Sparkling Wine

Was £113-89 down to £56-89 save£57. Chandon as in Moet & Chandon champagne by any other name except not from the champagne region. Combine this with Tesco code (on code board) which gives £10 off plus free delivery. Sparkling wine counts as champagne for this.. and you effectively get x 12 bottle top class bubbly for £46-89 delivered free. Less than £4 a bottle. Hic.....
  • Sorry for the mispelling, been sampling the goods.....very nice!

can you plese explain th £10 clubcard ? Thanks
  • Even better than £10 off would be to use a code for 1000 extra clubcard points when you buy 12 bottles of wine or 6 of champagne from tesco.com/wine.

Tesco have now got 20% off all wines this week bringing it down to £47.90.
I ordered mine on Saturday to be delivered this coming Friday will I get the extra 20% or do I have to cancel and re-order to get it at this price??
All my savings are going on the family holiday!

Off to Majorca again this year ;-)
  • Has anyone tried/tasted this yet?
Have been to the store to buy a test bottle, but they seem to only sell this brand online and I want to know its good before handing over any cash !
    Thanks
  • Hope no-one minds me reposting this query as I originally posted it in the thread re "Tesco Wine massive Saving" but that seems to have become a discussion on how to use various discount vouchers, whereas this thread seems more specifically about "Eclipse Sparkling Wine".

Is "Eclipse Sparkling Wine" produced by Domaine Chandon?

Can anyone confirm the special offer from Tesco of “Domaine Chandon Eclipse Sparkling Wine” is actually produced by Domaine Chandon (I am aware of course that Domaine Chandon is owned by or operates in conjunction with Moet & Chandon)?

I ask because I visited my local Tesco Metro and looked at the labeling on Eclipse Sparkling Californian Wine – it has no mention of Domaine Chandon, in fact it is somewhat uninspiring labeling with little information as to vine variety etc., in fact if anything it looked very much like a somewhat uninspiring “unknown brand”.

Equally a google search for “Domaine Chandon Eclipse” gives no useful information.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts, opinions etc.
