I used cdiscount for the first time last week. I had saw it mentioned on here and had bookmarked the page. Went for a look and bought myself a computer monitor. I ordered on 8/01 and it was delivered on 10/01. I was shocked at how quick the delivery was considering I had an email from them at 4am on 10/01 to say my item had been dispatched I really wasn't expecting it that day. So for me I had great service from them :T

Well... we ordered an item which just never arrived, even though they charged my credit card the day I ordered. When I phoned their 0844 number to chase it (a long time on hold) I was told part was out of stock, so none of the order was being sent. I asked when they would get round to telling me and was told that "well, after 5 days or so we expect the administration to be self-managed". No, we didn't understand that either, so asked for a translation, which boiled down to "we don't contact the buyer to explain a hold-up, we just wait for them to contact us".

We agreed to their suggestion to cancel that order, and place a new order without the missing part. That order arrived in good time (so, well done cdiscount). HOWEVER 10 days on we are still waiting for the refund... When I called to query this today they claim they are entitled by their terms and conditions to hold on to my money for 30 days (which, in these circumstances at least, they aren't).

In future I'll pay the tiny bit more and use eBuyer.

- i bought a portable dvd recorder from them, really fast delivery and quality product, couldn't fault them

Looks like a good buy. But isn't this meant to be mainly a monitor?

I think its more towards a monitor but can still be used as a tv it has freeview
