Hi,
I was just looking at someother sites to see if there was any inspiration when I stumbled across some dresses for under £1000! (I know a total joke for all us MSE followers):D
However after having a quick look at a few of the picks a company name caught my eye of the dress I was looking at - Littlewoods!
I went on to the website and they have some nice dresses at a reasonable price, some look especially good if you are not after a meringue!!!
So I popped straight back over here to share my find with you lovely people! Sorry if someone else has already posted about this but I hadnt seen it mentioned anywhere so thought I would.
Here is the link http://www.littlewoods.com/rf/s.do?Ntx=mode+matchallpartialΝ=this_product&Np=1&Nty=1&Ntk=littlewoods_search&Ntt=wedding%20dress
(sorry its so long I hope it works!)

You could also try Barnardo's 'Brides by Appointment' shops.
I bought my dress from the Edinburgh branch last week for £100! The dresses haven't been worn before (on wedding days) but are end of line or dresses used for catwalk shows. I also got shoes (unworn) for £15 & a veil for £20. Dresses are sold as seen, however, I was given a discount voucher for a local dry cleaners although Johnsons Dry cleaners accept clubcard vouchers.
Stores can be found on the Barnardo's website. Hope this helps someone!0 -
Whilst looking through the Attire Bridal trade magazine that I received today, I came across a feature for bridesmaid dresses which to be honest could be used as bridal gowns. The company True Bridal has launched a budget collection of bridesmaid/prom dresses 'True Essentials' retailing at between £109-£149. True have responded to the general feeling that brides will watch what they spend on bridesmaids and will be looking for quality gowns at exceptional prices. All designs will be available in the extensive True colour shades, available in sizes 4-36 and will be in stores from March. Starter packs of x 6 styles are available for £295. Call 01273 728637 for further details.

I live just up the road from there, I didn't realise they did accessories as well, this might seem like a silly question but would they sell shoes on their own, it's not just for people buying their dresses there (I already have my dress)?Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

Good ol' BHS also have some absolutely lovely ones for £120-£500, went into the Oxford St store on holiday last week and was very impressed with the quality! Also you actually get to try the dress on in your size a lot of the time rather than buying it sem-blind out of a brochure with no idea of the fit!0

Have just seen that the dresses that are on littlewoods are also on Empire stores website, so you dont have to be come a littlewoods customer if your with empire, thinking i may do this as you can then spread the cost monthly.Mortgage 2nd Oct 2012 = £142,615.61
MFD - Dec 2041 :eek::eek:
Mortgage 20th Sept 2013 - £139,296.31

Hi MsChazzer
I get the impression that you can buy all the bits in bobs seperately as I was told to pop back to look at tiaras, as the stock turn over is quite quick. Happy shopping!0
