Yes if you do it now. However if it gets much past the end of February (depending on when you are paid) there won't be enough time to change your tax code and an automatic rebate to come through in March's wages. Then it will be a case of applying to HMRC for a rebate for which you will need the P60.0 -

How does one learn all of these things? Is it just a matter of reading all the bits of paper I get given? I have tried in the past but I find it hard to make any sense of it.August grocery challenge: £50

That's certainly the first step.I have tried in the past but I find it hard to make any sense of it.
The P45 has very clear instructions on the 1st page. It says to hand it in to your new employer. If you had done that there would have been no problem.0
