This is in Poundland.
The packet is mostly in Russian script and it appears to have been made in China
Can I trust Colgate to be Colgate? Or does it differ depending on where it was manufactured?
What about the recent counterfeit Colgate story, at Boots and Sainsburys? How can I be sure that the Poundland stuff isn't counterfeit?

It is certainly a genuine Colgate product, but the ingredients are different in Russia and the quality is not so good.
Some people will probably jump in and start blabbing about anti-freeze, ignore them, this was a short lived media frenzy from a few weeks ago, but it turned out to be a very isolated problem and all the suspected contaminated products were recalled (and there is scant evidence that there was any danger anyway). We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -

I've tried it myself, and after finding it a bit different I just did a little bit of online research.
There is nothing wrong with it as such, it does it's job, but it's just not quite as good as the Colgate made for the UK market, but for £1 you may as well give it a go and see what you think...it won't kill you

Home Bargains are flogging it for 49p and from the script it would appear to be destined for the Greek market. Ingredients identical to British version according to the two tubes.0

I've been buying this from the 99p store for a while. Worth buying several tubes at a time as I dont go there that often. They always have Colgate toothbrushes too.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0
