I wanna 2000w hairdryer

I had an excellent Babyliss hairdryer which lasted me for about 10 years. Ended up blowing up coz it was the only noise that would stop my little boy from crying at 4 months old, but thats another story!!! :D
Got another Babyliss one from Boots about 18 months ago (not identical, but same wattage) and its rubbish!!!
I need a 2000w hairdryer, at least 2 heat settings, and a "professional" style (ie, longer nozzle at the front).
Can anyone recommend one so that I don't make the same mistake?
I was looking at the professional "Adee and Paul" one (£30 in Boots, just under £17 at Amazon). Anyone had any experience of this one?
Thanks guys! xx

2000 watt isnt that strong actually, the ones they use in toni and guy are 2400 and only these can generate enough heat to straighten my hair
anyway, been thru a lot of hairdryers in my time and id say the hottest and strongest air flow 2000w is the remington big shot. i have a nicki clarke 2000w dryer and the power is nothing compared to the remington one (its metal with a blue heat reactive plastic in case you dont know what to look for) you get clips and concentrator nozzle with it and its around £15.

Do you know anyone with access to a Sallys wholesaler? They will have a range of professional quality and speed hairdressers there at good prices.

they used to do one in argos, a 2200 watt as i wanted close to toni and guys one-as i said before, only toni and guy can straighten my hair and only with their own hairdryers- my hair naturally is like a brillo pad, and no amount of straightening with irons (not even the hottest heat ones) touch it.
anyway you can only buy these from toni and guy, i enquired before, they are obv professional ac motors with a really good narrow concentrator nozzle and tremendous speed and heat, they are £40 but well worth it- youll have to ask the manager if they have any new ones spare.
ive been in sallys many a time and their styling appliances are expensive and usually of a low heat as well, i havent come across any 2400 watt dryers in there.

whoops regards last post, i meant to say the 2200 one in argos was diabolical, no power in the airflow and it cut itself out with overheating after 1 min. also, these arent the same hairdryer as in boots toni and guy brand, that is only 1800 watt you can only get these ones direct from toni and guy salons, behind the counter sort of thing, they are the actual pro ones they use in the salon.

If you know a hairdresser, she can get the wholesale prices in Sallys, not sure of the wattage, but my daughter is a hairdresser and she regularly gets salon strength hairdryers from Sallys for her clients, the ones she gets are Parlux make and they wouldn't be a low heat or they wouldn't stand salon use.
