Thanks for your reply, I will speak to the bank tomorrow. I am shocked at how I fell into that mess. I used my other halfs card to make the payment so surely they cannot use that again but knowing how these places work - who knows!
Going to try and phone them again, I waited an hour yesterday for a reply and the place is in Wales. I am going to warn everyone never to get involved with these companies!
Thanks v muchLBM: 09/12/2008

Get your partner to speak to their bank and advise them any further payments to this outfit are unauthorised.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Hmmm well I finally got through on the telephone today after 24 - yes 24 attempts and thats today only. I also faxed and emailed and sent a letter. The girl I spoke to was actually very nice, didn't even ask why I was leaving but did say she would send an email to the 'cancellations manager' so I reckon it will be him who does all the persuading and makes the decisions. I told her my payment only cleared on the 7th Jan and she said I would be owed a refund, wish I had recorded the call now.

It looks like they will get me on the date I signed the agreement which was the 12th December, 2008 and over the 14 days cooling off period. I am going to say I was mis-sold as they didn't tell me I could get the same advice for free. Thats £350 I could have in my pocket to pay towards my debts so I am def going to fight for it back!
At least a good thing might come out of this sorry situation. Any advice gratefully recieved as usual. ThanksLBM: 09/12/2008

Just walk away from this lot and don't pay them another penny.
They are history.

Well just got home from a rainy camping trip up in the Hightlands of Scotland and I have a cheque waiting for me for £350 which was my inital payment to these chancers. I can't believe it, after getting Trading Standards and the Finiancial Ombudsman involved, finally 6 months later I have my money back. I could have cried when I seen it. My lovely hubbie went straight down to the bank to put it away for safekeeping. Going to put it towards my CCCS payments. To everyone else in the same boat please don't give up, this money is paid to them for doing absolutely nothing so fight for it back.
Finally something good came out of all this. One day closer to being debt free xxxLBM: 09/12/2008
