Cat Poo Wormery

Has anyone used one of these? I am thinking of getting one for my two cats who are mainly housebound. They are too old to catch much now (although obviously no doubt mess with stuff that is already dead when presented with the opportunity!) and are regularly wormed.

They have a litter tray into which I am gradually incorporating more and more shredded waste paper into, initially with the thought of saving money on the cat litter and recycling the paper. I then planned to flush the waste down the loo and compost the urine soaked paper in the compost bins (as I would with the shredded paper anyway), but it got me thinking whether it was worth looking at one of these for the waste instead?

I am aware of the problems with toxoplasmosis and was intending on using the composted waste for the non-vegetable borders. My understanding was that the poo wasn't contagious after 24 hours anyway.

I think they are a bit too old to learn to use the loo - although that would solve everything!
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D
