Help .. Ive lost my Son's National Insurance Number

Hope someone can help !!!
Somehow ive managed to lose my Son's National Insurance Card, and he needs it very urgently to give to his College Tutor.
He was told to go to his local Job Centre with two forms of ID and they would give him his number, but they didn't .... Is there any other way he can get this number quickly.

I did have a phone number for new NI cards but I can't find it

They should have given it to him with the ID 0 -
Surely as it's his responsibility, it should be up to him to look after his NI card, not you?Conor
