School clothes at Asda

I'm not sure how long the offer is on for but Asda have 20% off school trousers, skirts and jumpers. I bought two pairs of trousers for my son for £2.80 per pair. They are Teflon protected ones and wash and tumble dry pretty well. School polo shirts are £2.50 for a pack of two.

Thanks for this. My daughter starts school in August so I might try and get some things in just now.
On the subject of school clothes can anyone give any insight into the qualities offered from each shop e.g. are the asda clothes as good as anywhere else and is there any shops I should avoid?

Asda, Tesco, Matalan etc, as they grow out of them so quick, why pay more when the quality is fine.I haven't got one!0

I got some things at Asda and some at Tu in Sainsbury's. The Sainsbury's polo shirts are slighty better than the Asda ones but the Asda trousers are great especially for the price. It's often difficult to get the smaller sizes so get them while you can. Asda also do pumps for PE for about 75p which is a lot better than having a pair of trainers in the PE bag when they only wear them to go to the hall. I spent money on a decent pair of shoes and a warm coat and everything else came from Asda.0

Hi SusanMC, I've always bought all my daughter's school clothes from Asda: cardigans, pinafores, polo shirts and summer dresses. They've all been fab - washed really well, don't go bobbly. I'd highly recommend them!0

I had to take back 2 pairs of girls trousers this year, as they shrunk the first time they were washed. They said a lot had been returned.
In M & S sales they often have school uniform reduced. In the last sale I managed to get school skirts for £1, girls trousers for £3 and cardigans for £3. I find their quality to be better than Asda. I usually buy M&S cardigans anyway, as they usually last 2 years.0 -
I've been looking for black school trousers for 4-5 year old girl for ages, so I don't care about the quality if only I can get some.
I am off to my local Asda after work
Thanks
