Sorry to thread-hijack but on a similiar note.....
Its a bit tricky for me to work out my monthly income as I have to try to account for months when I cannot work so there will be some months when I bring home a lot more than I am declaring on my SOA.
Does the OR ask for any proof of income during the IPA?Money, money, money. Must be funny, in a rich man's world. :rolleyes:0 -
hiya marlowvain good question - not that I know the answer tho! is your extra income on some months due to overtime?BR 9th Jan 2009 - Discharged 9th Jan 2010

Unfortunately spent a lot of time in hospital (months) which has a massive hit on my "paid by the hour with no sick pay" wages.
The way that I have been told by Payplan to calculate my average monthly income for my DMP is to try and do an average of what I took home the previous year despite missing weeks of work, then average it to per month.
So just for example... say I worked for 10 months and was off sick for 2 months and cleared £1000 each month I would do £1000 x 10 / 12 months to get an average of £833.33 per month.
So my pay slip would say £1000 which would obviously be a lot more than I would have told the OR.
Wondered if the OR looks at payslips and will query this?
Don't know how else I can work out my monthly income as it fluctuates a lot depending on how ill or how many hospital appointments I haveMoney, money, money. Must be funny, in a rich man's world. :rolleyes:0 -
Yes the OR does ask for payslips. Do what i did. I put a full page explanation as to why my wage fluctuated;) .DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

If you have fluctuating wages then they may ask to see them for a few months so they can get an idea of averages to see whether an IPA is apropriate.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
