    Hello

No you won't unfortunately. I tried to return a DVD there (received as an Xmas present) and they said no receipt no exchange, no refund, no nothing!!! They did say if i could get a credit card statement to prove it was bought there that would be ok. I then went to Woolworths who exchanged the DVD no problem!!!

My experience of Woolworths is no receipt, no exchange, unless you can say when you bought as they check the sale on their computer!

Recommendation: Ensure that you have a compelling explanation.

In the past 3 weeks I returned several DVDs totalling just under £100 (for store credit) and, separately and at a different HMV, exchanged an unused PSP game for an alternative.
  • Had huge probs with HMV, bought something for my boyfriends i-pod for xmas that was in vacuum packed packaging, but they wouldnt refund it even though it was faulty as i had opened/damaged the packagaing!?
you have to cut the product out to get at it!
Phoned Customer services who said they would refund it, this time (?!), got refund. Not buying form HMV again.

I took a CD to HMV for exchange and had no problems at all, they were very helpful. Tried changing a toy at Woolworths and they wouldn't without a reciept saying that I could have bought it anywhere and would need proof of purchase.
