Just received my pack from the trustee who will be dealing with my bankruptcy. Totally surprised at how little there is to fill in. He needs my income (won't be hard, I'm a student) and a list of my creditors, again won't be hard, I only have 3 and the total amount owed only comes to £7800!
He hasn't even asked for a SOA. Slightly worried that he's requesting a "meeting" though :(
So, what sort of stuff is he going to ask me?

  • Hi Eklynne, just reading your post and wondered if you had your meeting and how it went. What did you have to supply SOA, creditors info etc. Totally in the dark about what to expect after forms have been posted to AIB. Thanks

    Hiya :)
Still haven't had my meeting. Sent off the forms about 2 weeks ago, got a courtesy call to say they'd received them and that they'd be in touch. That's been the extent of it really. I've now been officially BR for over a month and nothing has really happened, apart from my bank account being frozen (I already had my co-op one up and running). If the next 11 months are as easy as this it shall be a massive relief.
My advice to you - relax. If you are anywhere near as scared as I was, you'll be making yourself ill. The way I see it is, the deed is done, whatever happens, happens.

  • Thanks for that:) I seem to go from scared to petrified and then complete panic. All I can think about are the phonecalls, letters and debt, hopefully will get better when I post the forms. Should be done just after all the DD's come out at the start of March, then will move them into the Co-op Acc. Thanks for your reply it is great to get some idea what happens.;)
