Q 'Would you like to say sorry for the mistakes made by you Government?'
A 'Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah'
Should we have a new gaffer in No 10?
What we need is someone to give us a straight answer as when the likes of Mrs Feilding (hope taht is pelt right) are asked a very very simple question she answers with 'Tory this, Tory that, Lib dem this, Lib dem that and !!!!!!!! this and !!!!!!!! that.
I hope that this will be a big lesson for the Tories and Lib Dems.

Politicians like to be all things to all men, in public at least. Their actions cannot always concur with this ideal but they don't wish to admit to this in public hence all politicians and even more so those in power never give straight answers to awkward questions. It has always been like this in my experience. If you like the politician it is an unfair/biased question. If you don't like the politician/policy it is a good question which he is dodging.0

I think it's more the case that what they have to say is so distasteful to so many that it is better to dodge the question than to have to blatantly lie. Blair was unique in his ability to do both at the same time. I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist but either Blair just had a guilty face or he was concealing some very nasty secrets.
I don't think Brown, by his demeanor, is of the same smarmy character as Blair, he just doesn't have a clue what to do as he's inherited what Blair knew would be a blood bath. This seems to be reflected in his general lack of ability to be straightforward about anything.I'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -

er Brown was his chancellor. He actually made the mess Blair just ok-ed it all.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. The one where you showed us Dithering Dad is a complete liar. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE Forum Team0 -

Brown bank-rolled the entire Nu Labour Reich social engineering experiment from 1997 to mid-2007."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
We do, but who would you replace him with?
Theres very few MPs from any party who are worth their salt
If anyone wants to start a new political party, I'll be happy to take the lead

It does'nt matter who gets in,they won't be able to sort this mess out. It's got too deep.
All politicians are the same, they all promise. The minute they get in they do what they like. Not one of them's worth voting for.0 -

Okay I wasn't specifically talking about the ecnomy for once, I actually had in mind the whole Terrorist stuff. Absolutely agree that Brown orchestrated the financial fiasco we see today, just don't think he has the ability to be as much of a bullsh*er on the wider issues, the economy being only one aspect of the country that Labour have dessimated.I'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -
