Now that you have mentioned it, some people on here have been able to keep a very basic account with yorkshire bank I believe after BR but not one with a cheque book or visa debt card.

I would not speak to Yorkshire Bank until necessary. no point rocking the boat.

keep going with the token payments but you may find that you will not get a positive response to this offer and not all creditors will stop interest and charges.

if the calls are getting you down, change your phone number because just asking them not to call will not stop them.

  • Thanks Don
The phone calls are not getting me down because I realise they cannot help me and are probably paid on results . I cant help them and they cant help me so I dont answer them. They have called me at my shop [ which closes on 31st jan ] I dont care about that because that line will be dead from 1st Feb.
I will call the Business Debtline thank you.

Should I post on the debt forums for advice about managing unsecured creditors and not think about BR at this point ?

I would just get some advice first and depending what they recommend, post where it does apply - either here or on DFW board. Hope that it does work out for you LittleJess.

I only saw your thead by chance on main board. I have run own small business for 23 years and have had business partners/problems etc.
I'm quite zenned up on certain things to do with partnerships, fully liable leases..that type of thing from personal experience.

Have had probs sorted out using solicitors in the past too so can remember some of the advice.
Don't know much about bankruptcy tho' but I do know about having stacks of business debt.....having spent past 3 years digging ourselves out of a debt hole.
Feel free to PM me...I usually get onto MSE late at night.
