Is it good news?
The collapse of the independent retail sector, combined with the growth of the large multiples.
Its not hard to picture the day when the only place to buy clothes, groceries, electricals and music will be in one of the big supermarkets - they are getting all the power.

You say it as though they have cornered the market like a monopoly but then you say the only place to buy clothes, groceries, electricals and music will be in one of the big supermarkets.
So it means they will still have competition because there is more than one.
