HomeShare Schemes?

Have been hearing a bit here and there about the HomeShare schemes that that the government is launching for first time buyers in conjunction with some big mortgage providers like Nationwide and Halifax around October time this year. Does anybody know any good places to get more information on these, what exactly they involve and any particular limitations that may be involved? I'm Very curious. . . I understand that they are to be limited to about 20,000 applications per year and will be split 75:25 between buyer and Bank, is this right? What else is known about them?

The shared ownership scheme I applied for was mortgage independent and run for first time buyers through the housing assosiation. You just had to ring a lady at the council and say you where trying to get on shared ownership and she sent through all the forms. I didnt take it up as I already owned a property.Save save save!!0
