 Hey guys first post but have enjoyed reading the N.I. forum. Do any of you guys have any problems with your property management company. I live in a flat which as part of it's lease incorporates the services of one. Their figures for service charge are puzzling and they don't give detailed breakdowns that justifies the figures, they even listed electricity bills for outside lighting that hasn't been functional in two years!! Has anybody had experience of this in the past and did they do anything to help bring a little clarity to the situation.
Cheers guys

I am a similar position to yourself, to be fair my management company are not terrible, but on saying that they are not excellent!!
You need to communicate with the management company to answer any queries you have. I would recommend e-mailing them, that way you will have a record of all communication you have with them.
Remember to be reasonable, allow a fair amount of time for them to reply to e-mails, carry out repairs etc. Check your lease to find out what they are responsible for. If they are not fulfilling their side of the contract then withhold payment but explain to them that you are doing so and explain why.
Have you spoken to any of your neighbours? Do they have any issues with them?
At the end of the day you are paying them to provide a service!

Cheers for your input. I've got the lease out and I'm going to contact my neigbours on the matter. The company might sit up and take notice if it's more than one person.0
