AV Machine

Hi.
I got an advantage card in Dec. and my av machine offers have never changed. No points offered for anything I want, just things like 50% off eyesight test. I seem to be missing out a lot. Can anyone advise how often
the av machines are updated and offers changed? or do I need to improve my profile with boots?
Thanks.

  • the more you shop with your card the better the offers get. if you never used it the offers won't change (i have a second card, and its not been used, and the offers are always the same

I think the machines are updated every Wednesday or Thursday or it might be fortnightly?

I have two Boots cards..my main one and the offers do change regularly. My other card was signed up to give me a No.7 £15 voucher through the parenting club. I never use it and I have noticed that I don't get many offers with it, if I do slot it in the ADV machine.

Maybe you have to spend a certain amount with Boots before they start rewarding you.

i only rarely get these anymore, seems the more points i have on my card the less of those sort of offers i get.

I had about £150 of points on my card and was getting 50 points with a spend over £7.50, but my coupons haven't been very exciting recently, only got one pure one and didn't manage to use it as was in a hurry, but still getting Alternatives and shampoo vouchers, plus several that I don't want/need (eyesight test, Ted Baker, etc.)

Am just going to request card for twin sister with same name as me - perhaps she'll get better vouchers!

So you spend £40-£60 in boots fortnightly or £20-£30 a week? Just so I understand - lol

I'm confused. Are you saying that each individual card receives different offers from the AV machine according to how much it is used? I tried mine in the machine last week and the offers were rubbish but I use my card a fair bit....

It is not just the card but different machines as I have had 75 extra points for £10 spend in the morning in one boots. Went to another boots about 18 miles away and got a 50 extra points for a £7.50 spend.

I have two both in my name one as a miss and one as mrs. The mrs one has never been used and I don't get any interesting point offers on that one. The one with miss on has about £14 in points and gives me better offers like the pure one and the evian bogof one as well just before christmas.

Maybe the Advantage Card info is linked to boots.com too?

I got a free sample of Estee Lauder foundation when I ordered a MP3 player online and can't imagine that everybody who ordered the same will have got the sample? But then again perhaps I'm wrong?! (I buy quite a lot of Estee Lauder products so I thought the offer was just for me!)

I agree that it seems that bonus points are linked to how much you usually spend in store. My usual spend is just under £20 per visit and I get offered a 150 bonus points for £20 spend from the AC machine (Boots are obviously trying to encourage me to spend just a little bit more each time).
  • the av machine has had no offers for me since xmas, boooooooooooooo hoooooooooo
