Is Aldi's range consistant throughout the UK?

I always assumed that the stock carried in one Aldi will be the same at all of the others around the UK. By this I mean the ranges of food that you see week in week out rather than the 'specials'.
I have read on these forums about Aldi's yeast and Aldi's baking kits for breadmachines. I was in my local Aldi today, Chester, and could not find them anywhere and, after asking an assistant, found that they have never carried those products.
All of the Aldis that I have been into appear to be of a similar floor size and similar layout. It is for those reasons I thought that the range would be the same across the UK. I also assumed that it would keep prices down if the stock was consistent.
Has anyone else noticed any differences in Aldi stores and stock/ranges? Can anyone confirm the existance of Aldi's yeast and baking kits?
Cheers,
S.

I have seen baking kits in ours from time to time , but don't think it is stock that they have permanently. It is usually on the middle baskets where the specials go.
The two Aldis near me carry the same stuff on their shelves.0 -
Cheers Frogglet. I'll keep on having a glance when I pop in. I must have got the wrong end of the stick and thought that it was a regular line.

Sometimes a shop fails to get receive a particular item. I have experienced this before. All Aldis are meant to have the same stock.0

I think they do try and have the same range but there may be items which do sell better in 1 end of the country than the other0

No all Aldi stock is not always the same. The manager in our new store said it depends on which distribution centre they were in. The Leeds Aldi carries Oatcakes but not in Huddersfield. He said the store in Lancashire he had come from hadn't had Oatcakes either. He said he had been asked for several items in the new store that had been purchased elsewhere.
Perhaps you could email head office and ask which store has the items you're looking for.0 -

Apart from regional bakery variations as previously mentioned the only other differences are when they trial products in one of the various Aldi "regions " around the country.

Cheers for the replies. Hopefully I'll track down what I'm after one way or another. The Aldi yeast and some types of flour get fantastic reviews over on the breadmaker threads so with a bit of luck it's popularity will mean that it becomes a regular thing.
Thanks again all,

I have had bread flours from Aldi but think there were "specials" as I have only seen them on a couple of occasions and these were from the Heswall store, so Chester possibly use the the same distribution centre in Neston.0
