I don't know if i write in right place, but hope so.
Yesterday I dound out, that I'll be MOTHER soon!!! :T
It's so nice to know it, but now I'm a little bit scared of stretch marks. I'm young enough (I'm 24 years old) and slim, but I’ve heard it said that it doesn't matter, when you're pregnant and your brest and belly are growing so fast. Could you suggest some cream/oil/etc which would help me to avoid stretchmarks. How much it's effective and how much does it cost? Thanks for your assistance!!

Ahhh congratulations! :j you have loads to look forward to.
I have had two kids and used an old West Indian ( not so secret anymore) secret.. Cocoa Butter!!! and I mixed mine with vitamin E oil.. use it religiously starting from now!!! day and night or whenever carry it with you.
It ensures that when you are growing and the skin is stretching that the skin is not starved of natural oils that helps the elasticity. You may feel like you want to itch sometimes but this is becuase your skin is stretching so DO NOT ITCH OR SCRATCH cause this will encurage stretch marks. When you do feel like this just get your partner
to rub some cocoa butter on your hips thighs tummy and breasts to help the skin stretch so as not to leave any marks..
I do not have one stretch mark :T and it has worked a treat for me..
Good luck...
You can buy cocoa butter from boots and make sure to collect those points that can go towards loads of baby stuff
They do a special one for stretch marks and it is made by Palmers. But to be honest all of them are good and they cost around £1-2 per tub/bottle. MFWB

Good luck, I think I tried just about everything including olive oil, cocoa butter, moisturiser you name it.
Nothing worked for me unfortunatley but my 2 little blighters both had a huge growing spurt at about 7 months and my skin didn't stand a chance.
I'd still try everything again though as you've nothing to lose.:smileyhea0 -
Hi Emma
Congratulations on the baby news!
Almond oil is great too...and you can mix it with tiny amounts of aromatherapy oils which help you relax, and sleep too when you get to the later stages of pregnancy. Watch which oils you use, though, as some are not recommended in pregnancy.
I used olive oil too, in times of desperation, and after 2 kids have no stretch marks. Just keep on rubbing it in...your baby will enjoy the massage too!

Congratulations
I used sweet almond oil, use daily. Massage from your knees to your sholders. When your get an itch don't scratch apply moisturiser or oil. My partner massaged me, this had many benefits; stopped me trying to massage difficult to reach places, especially in the later stages; spending a relaxed time with my partner; allowed my partner to feel more conected with the pregancy as he was more aware of the physical changes my body was going through.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Congratulations :j
I had my son at 19 and I was very skinny, I had quite a flat stomach until I was 6 months gone and then I developed a huge bump
..... I also had terrible itching as my stomach grew and my skin stretched, so I scratched, and in hindsight I would be far more careful and more likely to rub in any type of moisturiser. If you do get stretch marks, they do fade over time, but I would advise just to moisturise and not scratch itchy skin!!

First of all, congratulations. :j
I would suggest you save your money.
For everyone who says creams helped them, someone else will say they didn't. Speaking as someone who didn't have any until around my due date, then grew so fast in the following 2 weeks that my skin bled  I can say that I don't give two hoots about mine.
Actually, they have faded to almost nothing and even some of the ones that bled are barely visible now. If you don't get them, great. If you do get them, count them as part of the road map of your life and a sign you were fortunate enough to have a person grow inside you. :jMay all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
If you do get any - think of them as service stripes....
