Applying for cleaning jobs.

As the title says I am looking for a cleaning job. I have seen 3 which are varies times. I know its a basic job but its better then nothing. And i have to call them up first. Was looking for any advice etc. Anything i could/should ask. And anything i should mention. Or just ring up say im interested, where abouts in the area.

    Give them a ring, say you are interested. If the ad did not say, think about your hourly rate. Factor in travelling time and costs. When you go and see them ask about breakages i.e if you break something by accident would they expect you to pay for it. If its a household what happens when they are away, do you still go and do some extra into corners etc, would you not go in which case would you still be paid or not. Would they pay you holiday pay. I have and still do work as a cleaner, these are useful questions for cash in hand or on the books work.
    Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!

    Brilliant advice thanks ! Will bare it all in mind. Will be calling today later on when i go the job center. I need to ask where abouts the job is, as it says stoke on trent but not where, as i need to rely on buses Thanks xx
