I will be getting postcards for comps tomorrow as you have all got me interested as well :)

Using and making postcard from used b-day/crimbo cards is a cheap way as is the flyer postcards from the cinema and street shops like fat face or check out ebay - got a load from there really cheap. My prob is stamps - now if someones offering 50% of stamps I'd snap their hands off! :rotfl::rotfl:

I think there was a list somewhere of who did what, was put up a few months back IIRC. Maybe if someone has say 'Full House' and can see you haven't posted it that week then they could PM you to see if you want them to do it instead that week - just polietness really. I don't know what you think, just hate the way the board is a free for all now when it was much more organised a short while ago, you knew who did what & a quick PM saved any duplicate comps being posted.

I'm still not sure what's been happening to my Pick Me Up ones which have been disappearing again, would hate to think someone has been reporting them but cannot understand why they just vanish?

see where you're coming from princessmoneysaver, didn't mean to step in , just saw that it hadn't been posted again, i had been watching the boards & it def wasn't posted last week, or the other week i posted it, i can't understand either why they seem to vanish
will pm you on a thursday then to see if you are going to post it first.

  • Can I help?? Thinking of subscribing to Zest unless there is anyone else that posts these??
Thanks to everyone who posts the comps :A

I know some of yours have vanished before from the postal thread, very irritating really isn't it?

I appricate if you would PM me, I'm usually online but not always have the mags ready on the Weds - I'm finding the codebreaker harder to do so usually wait for DH to check my answer with that one (would you belive it was the one I won £1000 last year as well!).

I'm really glad you do the Full House ones, I don't think we had a regular to do these before IIRC. My Dad gets 'YOURS' mag every 2 weeks, do we have someone who gets this one or do you want me to try get any comps on here from him?

  • Hi All,

When i began competitions recently, I thought if i entered postal comps it would increase my chances of winning. At first i used blank postcards, but thought picture postcards may attract more attention, however i do not live near a cinema/tkmax/ starbucks etc[all suggested places to pick them up], so i googled "postcards free samples" and got sent promotional packs, some usable, some not. I thought this might be of interested to mse's wishing to start postals!

Ps. Im yet to win from a postal entry though i live in hope!!- any tips?
[Ive posted this in the postal thread incase anyone wants to start doing postal and wants to find postcards for free!]
  • Also can i ask thoese of you who already subscribe to a magazine, where u order your subscription from? i read in a post earlier by cte1111 a link to another mse thread about subscription offers but there were so many websites and alot of the offers had expired! I was hoping to subscribe to inside soap and woman and home [for my mum], but i dont think either have postal competitions, sorry. Any advise please?

I used to post the full house ones when they were text in only, then ryan85k started doing them so i stopped, when they came online the first time ryan was copying them from my postings on the other website, so i started posting them again , he did apologise for copying my answers..

    gosh,that's a long time ago

i have the yours mag every fortnight, the comps in there are a crossword and the freebies/puzzles are coupon only to send in, or you can enter them online at the yours.mag site which elverman posts regular , hope this helps.

what about the comping mags, are they really any good, was thining of getting one for my Mam, as she is interested in comping but doesn't like the net much
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx

the comping mags are winners friend and simply prizes but they are getting combined in february, just search winners friend and it should come up, i get that mag and its good for postal comps but majority of those are posted on here:D we cant copy from those mags as the editor doesnt like that and that would be bad show anyway;)

woman and home i believe have a fair few postal comps, so if there are any takers?

zest i subscribe to that, but trying to reduce the mags i do comps from as i have so much to do this year that i need to make time for everything else so if someone wants to to offer to do zest or any others that arent covered on the list on page 41 then that would be great:D

wil try and get the list finished today so we can get it up on the first post in the postals since its monday we aim for a fresh start and get organised:D

thanks again for all the offer of help with the mags:A
