Has one of the BGs agreed to this? Apart from the few official stickies, the main board is supposed to be just for posting comps, so you may get merged in with the comps discussion thread

If you felt strongly about having this for next years challenge (we've always just had one) perhaps you could have mentioned it when it was being discussed earlier?

No i have not due to there being no sign saying i should consult someone before hand!

It seems as though many people have a real issue with my thread?

Its christmas let it go for goodness sakes! Ill close it if it makes some of you happy because it seems a crime to do this post

There are no pointless digs at you about this thread.

I'm sure you mean well but over the past year there have been various discussions about how having a cash total seemed to be the 'wrong' thing as it made people aim for monetary value rather than personal value.
So to keep the interest going the challenge was changed for 2009.

Personally I got bored about Feb last year so didn't contribute and just had my own tally - this year will be a real personal challenge as I have chosen things for me that I really want to achieve.

But if peoplewant to do that then they are cheating and im not going to not do it and ruin it for those who want to do it

How are they cheating?

They win the prize then it is added to the total - it may be something of high value they cannot use - but they wanted it because of the value.

It was not one person who decided - if you had joined in the comps discussion you would have seen the discussion.

PS this thread will most likely be merged to the discussions anyway - as this is where it should be.

And if 2009 for 2009 was something you wanted to do then you could do it, but you should have done it as I did my challenge last year - for myself.
