  • Roboform saves passwords as well as filling forms in, I have probably well over 500 passwords saved on it because I could never remember them all HTH xx

When we bought Roboform (2 licences so we could do it on the laptop as well as the PC - also bought in $ as it worked out cheaper going through Paypal) our laptop had to go in for repair but all I had to do with Roboform when it came back was type in the product key again & it was all still there - but please remember to back up regular I lost loads of info when my pendrive stopped working with it on luckily I had some backed up but still lost a lot of info HTH xx

Thanks for that Princess. That's a lot of passwords!!!
What's the difference between Roboform and the bog-standard Autofill button in my toolbar??? So confused

What's Autofill? Is it free? And how can I get it?:D :D:D

Aaah, right. I know Opera has that facility built in as standard, because hubby uses it and I tried it out for a while - but I still prefer IE.

Thanks for clearing it up, I hate feeling like I'm missing out on something good! :o

Lakshmi7 - it's just always been in my toolbar - so with my limited technological knowledge, I thought it was standard in every toolbar. But I use Google toolbar as well, wingobins. So that must be it.

Google is set as my default homepage - that's about all I know :o Hence why I have a husband :rotfl:

  • Personally I would rate Roboform well above anything else out there for the password part, not only does it save them all but it protects them too - you need a password to sign into Roboform when you use it (once signed in it stays signed in until you shut PC down) but it also saves tricky forms can't think of one offhand but where an autofill might only save/use part of it then you need to fill in the rest by hand once you've done that once by hand click on 'save' in the roboform toolbar & it still saves it for you like a normal form in future ITMS xx

    I love Roboform.

The thing I like best is the fact that with the paid for version is that you can set up multiple IDs. So I have one for me, one for dh, my kids, etc, makes it much easier for my ds to just click his name to auto fill forms than to type one letter at a time. (we have 4 licences, very reasonably priced)
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx

Thanks for all your help. :T :T :T

I'm definitely going to buy Roboform before I get the new laptop.

For me the best bit with roboform is that I don't have to keep remembering which tick boxes to tick/leave open now, I've set them all to the way I want them when I saved the passcard for each site :D

I've done that too, and like Mamzie said it's easier if you've got more than one person in the house (so kids names for under 16 comps etc) you can save all their details too. I think I paid about £15 for the 2 but that was when the exchange rate was better than it is now, have a look round to see if it's cheaper to buy in £'s or $'s.
