in Cutting tax
Hi,
Long term lurker. First time poster!
I am moving to Lithuania to start a new job. The company have told me that i will be paid 500euros locally subject to tax, and a 1500 euro retainer with the possibility of it rising to 3500 with commission, will be paid by an umbrella company in euros to any bank account i want wherever. I am going to be living in the Hotel free of charge when i am there and dont think i will be in this country for more than 60 days per year. I have an apartment here which my girlfriend will be living in and we are paying 500gbp per month each to cover costs.
I am wondering what is the most tax efficient way to structure my finances. I will not be touching the remainder of the money as the locally payable money will cover my costs.
I am also thinking that i will be moving to somewhere else (not britain) after this project is finished.
Do i get a foreign bank account and get my mortgage to come out of it directly, or is there a bettre way?
Thankyou in advance
