Aaaaarrgghh

I have just phoned for a court date and the man said tommorow!! I don't know if we are ready but he said if not it could take months!!

OK so:

I have filled out a form on insolvency website. Do I just take this form (3 copies) and £495 to the court? Do I need anything else?

  • Yes I think thats it for now.

Do you need your SOA reviewed? do so now.
If your not working or your income is low I expect you have no cause to worry. if there is a suggestion of an IPA/IPO put up your SOA for review. If you are mentally ready then you can get through it all fine.

Don't worry imagine this in under 28 hours you could be free of your debt.

    Good luck

Hi Ogglydoggly, this could be a real good idea, think of it like creditpunch says - you will be debt free and I think its best to do it sooner rather than later, just post your soa and ask all the questions you can think of. You will be absolutely fine! :D

Hi Oggly, what you need to do in order to work out who contributes what on each soa is to add up all the household expenditures and then split that 50/50. then on each of the soa's - put down the 50% split as partners contribution, if that makes sense.

Then put the child benefit down on the soa of the one to whom it gets paid. child benefit is not included for calculating any IPA anyway.

then after the household bit has been done, put down all your personal expenses on your own soa's.

I would increase medical to £20 to cover any dentist/optician/prescriptions/

I would also increase holiday to £80 as Welfare rights told me I could have upto £80 for a holiday for a family of four.

Haircuts are £10 per adult and £5 per child.

Child expenses are £5 per week per child so you could make this £40.

Do you or your OH need to pay for any dry-cleaning for work clothes?

Hope this helps a little, can't think of anything else at the moment. :D

what to do is to do your soa each at www.makesenseofcards.co.uk and then I would start it in a new thread so that as many people as possible can see it. I know that some have found it really difficult to get their head round the soa's when both are going BR.

But what you have said above is right - 50% of household expenses is what counts as your partners contribution on your soa and vice versa on your OH's.

Don't worry, we will help you get your head around it before tomorrow!

Well done and good luck with it. It will be better to get it out the way than wait for months and you never know within months you may even get ED.

Let us know how you get on.....
