London Show and Dinner for £20 per head.

Official MoneySavingExpert.com insert

Lastminute.com is offering dinner and theatre for just £20. As an example you can get Sound of Music tickets, plus a meal at Indian restaurant Imli, for £20 per person. The tickets alone are worth £35, so this is a terrific deal.

To book, go to Lastminute and browse the show packages on offer.

Thought I would let you guys know...

Have just booked a night out seeing a London Show and Meal for £20 each, really chuffed with this deal!

The shows available:
Sound of Music
Joseph and the Amazing Techicolor Dreamcoat
Carousel
La Clique
Stomp
(several others not heard of...)

You do not have a choice of restaurants and is dictated depending on the show you are seeing, but all seem reasonable quality. Obviously I am not expecting a gourmet meal. One of the restaurants mentioned, is Pizza Express and this can easily cost £15 per head usually.

Bookable at LastMinute.com and most are available till end of February.

Im not sure what kind of seat will get at the theatre, but not really worried and just looking forward to a nice night out with group of friends.

Got to start using Martin's tips now to see if can get a cheap train ticket into London! ;)

We went to see Stomp, on New Years Eve and can thoroughly recommend it. It was fabulous.

    I agree..................but don't sit near the speakers.............be warned!

Also I went to see on one of these deals 'Spamalot' and wasn't expecting much.
Had center dress circle seats 3 rows from front and a lovely 2 course meal (can't remember where, so many) that alone would have cost near on £20 in the area.
Worth a try at these prices.

  • would really recommend la clique too, if you like slightly 'edgy', sexy circus/cabaret/burlesque type stuff, this is a really great show, the hippodrome is a perfect venue too. it is not for kids (some nudity and in any case the venue is restricted). the man in wet 501s is hot!!!

  • We went to see the Sound of Music last night (£22.50 I think for meal and show).

If you search on lastminute.com there are usually a few different restaurants you can go to for each show, with slightly different prices. We went to La Tasca, a spanish tapas restaurant, and it was really good, they have a special theatre menu to choose from but there is plenty on it, and each person can have 3 different tapas dishes and a glass of wine.

When we got to the box office to collect our tickets we found that we had been upgraded as it wasnt fully booked so they had decided to close the upper circle (is that what the cheap seats are called) and put everybody from there in the royal circle, a level down. So definitely a bargain! And worth going early in the week as the chances of that happenning are higher I would have thought!

    The show was fantastic too!

We saw 'The 39 Steps' - so funny - it's a spoof of the old Hitchcock film and had an excellent meal at 'Tiger Tiger' all for £20.
