30 AA batteries @ Sainsburys - £4.99

Apologises if this is already on here. I was in my local Sainsburys this morning and with some of the electrical items on sale from Xmas were some Sony AA batteries. A pack of 8 - £4.72. A pack of 30 - £4.99!

I thought it was an error but it scanned at that price. Bargain, imo!

I got some Sony ones from Poundland in Edgware, 1 mins walk from the local Sainsbury at 12 for £1, so for £5 you can get 60!

not bad. im in need of some batteries for xmas toys already! saw ikea ones the other day think it was 10 for £1.56. not the best deal i know but are they any good?

Are the Sony ones from Poundland and Sainsburys identical?

the Sony ones in Sainsbury's are alkaline, I'm fairly sure that the ones in Poundland aren't.

Ikea batteries are great. I've always used those for remotes, alarm clocks, torches etc. Good value I think. I've used the cheap ones from the pound shop and they always leak! Yeeeew
