If you go onto their website you can see for your self.
But here is one calc that you can use from their online calculator
Amount borrowed £100
Repay £5 per week for 31weeks
Amount repaid £155
APR 365.1%
edit - they have changed the caluclator recently, but there was an option to repay over 23 weeks and that gave an APR of 497.4%
I used a screen shot of it recently for a presentation - it scared a few people!!
To see for your self, I'm not putting the link up, but go to their web site, click on products and you will see a loan calculator - scare yourself!!!
Further edit - I've not seen this before on their website - but you can have an Argos Store card through P*******t and the APR is only (typically) 90.5 -152.3I am a debt counsellor working in the voluntary sector - we don't charge our clients for the work we do!0 -

i got a letter from provident a while ago and it offered me 177%apr... what a good deal!!! :rotfl:0

thanks for all yor replies, the one good thing about being in debt is that i now check all apr's, and quite frankly bore the pants of all my friends!!Obstacles are things a person sees when he takes his eyes off his goal.0

they target people who struggle to get credit , and then stick huge amounts of apr on , cause they know they can get away with it , cause the people who do get loans from provident generally just want to money without worrying about the apr.
i personally think it should be illegal to charge such high apr's.0
