Is laser hair removal a permanent solution to unwanted hair on the body and is there anywhere in Northern Ireland that does this specialist task?

Hi, I have had the hairs on my legs and underarms removed by laser treatment in Belfast and I am really pleased with it - probably a 98% reduction and that is still the case having finished the treatment about 18 months ago. It was expensive but worth it for me as I have dark hair - I have quite white skin and that is the best type for effectiveness i.e. dark hair and pale skin. There are lots of beauticians who do it in NI but I used a specialist - Laserway in Little Victoria St - very good and professional. I think they and other therapists travel to clinics throughout NI - they are all in Yellow Pages. Good luck.0

Thanks for that, do you mind me asking how expensive it was? I am hoping to get hair permanently removed from between my eyebrows, my ears and nose.
Thanks again.0 -
From memory I think they were charging £100 a treatment for underarms and bikini line and £250 if you included legs. That is per treatment i.e. one session. If you reckon on needing at least 4 treatments on each area but maybe as many as 8 it could turn out to be very expensive.
I went for 4 sessions at Laserway, 2 months apart (as recommended) and although I've seen a fair reduction I gave up because it was far too costly for the results I was getting. Some areas were better than others. I keep meaning to try somewhere else in case I have better luck ... when I can afford it. Laserway do not guarantee permanent hair removal, just a significant reduction. Maybe I'm unlucky because my hair isn't really dark.
Oh, and despite what they say it really can hurt like hell too ... although admittedly the pain goes away as soon as each session is finished. No pain, no gain huh!Norn Iron Club Member 3300 -
Hi, yeah it was really expensive - each session was 500 pounds - that was for full leg, bikini and underarms - I think I had 8 sessions in total but the first one was at another beautician who was absolutely awful - whole process took 4 hrs as opposed to about an hour and a half in Laserway - possibly due to the fact that she decided to have tea and toast in the middle of it! I told her why I would not be going back - Laserway were extremely professional, efficient and got new updated, quicker machines during my treatment. The new machines are less painful in that they jet cold water or air with the laser beam and as the hair gets lighter, the pain is much less - yes even on the bikini line. So I spent 3,500 pounds in Laserway - it's a lot of money but makes a big difference to me - I can wear flesh coloured tights to work, go to the gym, go swimming and all without having to worry about hairy legs and can go on holidays without waxing - really good. I am sure the area you are talking about would be much less expensive - I do really recommend it.0
