A little-known loophole?

Options
Hi all, I've been lurking on here for a while and thought I'd say hello!

I caught part of a TV advert for Debt Free Direct this afternoon (these ads should be banned IMO, but that's another thread). The soothing voiceover on the bit that I saw claimed that DFD knew of "a little-known loophole" which allowed their clients to reduce their debt, or words to that effect - as I said I only caught part of the ad.

I know that DFD have in the past been censured by the Advertising Standards Authority, I have no intention of dealing with them and the sceptic in me says it's too good to be true but it set me wondering what this magical loophole could be? I suspect it may be an IVA (even though it's hardly little-known, nor a loophole!) as their website seems to promote this as their preferred vehicle for getting out of debt.

Any thoughts anyone?

Correct. They've already been reported the ASA.
  • Good post!

I am sick of these adverts............always a bloody IVA at the end of a call!
