Newcastle - airport parking

Does anyone know if you can leave your car overnight at the Metro park and rides in Newcastle?

We are going on a three-day break, but airport parking is going to cost more than the hol itself and due to an early flight public transport all the way ain't an option.

Can't find any info on the Nexus website.

we live in Wallsend it's in the wrong direction but still worth it for the saving.
